Following some of our recent press articles, Eerie Investigations were contacted by a young lady whom we will call "G". "G" and her family are the occupants of a house in the Edmonton area, which has had a chequered past - being occupied by a number of short-stay residents before its eventual vandalism, use as a squat, and other less salubrious uses. The house also borders an alley which has unfortunately been the scene of two murders and which is known locally as "Dead Man's Alley". Following an entire refit and decoration of the house, "G" and family moved in. The following few months saw them experience a number of unsettling occurences including; cold draughts, voices, figures seen moving out of unoccupied rooms, images of faces moving across the walls, banging sounds from upstairs empty rooms, and other phenomena. Things came to a head, when one evening "G" and friends were sitting talking when the curtains in the room started opening and closing by themselves. Shocked, they then saw a spirit face in the window. They ran out of the house, stopping only to grab their children and some essential belongings, and when they looked back they could clearly see a figure of an elderly lady beckoning at them from the upstairs bedroom window along with a male figure wearing what looked like an oxygen mask or WW2 gas mask. They have since been too scared to return, and our visit to the house was the only time since that they have re-entered it. The Eerie team were asked to investigate, and to perform a spirit clearance. Joined by a new guest medium and specialist in the field of spirit rescue and clearance, we set up our monitoring equipment and settled into two rooms in two groups for vigils. Disregarding some minor experiences such as chill feelings, nothing concrete was experienced during the vigils. However on playing back our video recordings of the vigils, two cameras picked up moving light anomolies which are being closer studied at present. For the next part of the evening, the team and spirit clearer settled down for a seance and spirit clearance. Two of the attending mediums independantly picked up on the presence of three spirits in residence, which was then seperately confirmed by the spirit clearance specialist. We then performed a clearance, and it was felt that the spirits had left after completion of this. Review of video recordings of the seance and clearance shows a number of light anomolies ("orbs"), which more interestingly can be seen to fade out of sight at the time when the spirit clearer declares that the spirits have been moved on.
